St. Cronan's Student Council is the voice of our students and its role is an essential element of our school spirit and care for the welfare of our pupils. The council has a representative from every class in the school and they meet on a regular basis, with the support of a member of staff, to discuss issues of concern or ideas to improve facilities/resources in the school. Elections are held annually, and the committee roles are held by a number of pupils from Fifth and Sixth Classes. Through the Council, pupils develop a genuine interest in the welfare of others, experience a system of democracy from an early age and develop leadership skills.
Last year our Student Council worked on a very big project - the wonderful new mural on the school wall of our junior yard. Take a look at some sneak peek photos of the finished project. Keep an eye out on RTE, who are very interested in this worthy news story.
