GAA
St. Cronan's is an active participant in Gaelic games. The school has both Gaelic Football and Hurling teams which compete against the other schools in the Wicklow area. Both teams have been very successful in recent years. The school's Gaelic Football team have been County Champions many times, and have also been victorious in the Coughlin Cup.
The school's team colours are blue, yellow, and white to match the school's uniform. In the past, the school's colours were red and white; which matched the colours of the school uniform at the time.
The school has close ties with Bray Emmetts GAA Club, and many of the children in the school are also members of the club. St. Cronan's GAA jerseys are sponsored by a local charitable organisation, the Bray Lions Club. The children in the school participate in many of the community projects organised by this club.

Swimming
St.Cronan’s were lucky enough to secure a slot with Shoreline Leisure to attend swimming lessons. The boys attend for 7 or 8 lessons in 2nd, 4th and 6th classes. The class runs on Wednesdays and Joe Moroney's Bus collects the boys and teachers from the school for their lesson. They are tested, ability grouped and taught at their own level. The instructors are superb and ensure that every child - from the most competent to the most nervous has an enjoyable and beneficial lesson. The boys really love their lessons and it’s wonderful to be able to provide such a vital learning opportunity during school time.
Teachers vs Pupils
There has been a long standing tradition of a game played in the last term of school between the teachers versus the pupils. It's always an enjoyable day for the competitive players and the happy supporters on the sidelines.
