Our school has been involved with the Creative Cluster Programme with St Patrick’s and Gael Scoil Uí Chéadaigh. It’s an initiative that invites artists from a range of creative backgrounds to come and work with the children from the three schools. These artists and musicians included a bodhrán player, a storyteller, a willow weaver, a knitting expert and Irish dancing teachers. To celebrate the end of Year One of this Creative Cluster , our schools were lucky to have a felting artist Niki Collier to come and create Celtic knots with our students. These knots are to become a collaborative piece of art created by all three schools and it will be displayed in Dublin Castle in this autumn . The Creative Cluster fosters not just creativity in our students but also a sense of community and connects with children from the other schools.
