The FÍS Team would like to take this opportunity to thank you for participating in the 2024 annual FÍS Film Awards Competition, Film in Schools Initiative. We truly appreciate the effort and creativity that went into your film submissions. It is clear that a great deal of thought and hard work was invested by you and your students.
After careful consideration and review of all entries, we regret to inform you that your films, Sunny Sunday Morning & The Cremation of Sam McGee, were not selected as one of the winning submissions this year. This year we received a tremendous response to the competition and the level of talent and creativity across all the entries was incredibly high, making the decision process exceptionally challenging for our judges.
However, we are delighted to inform you that your film, Sunny Sunday Morning, is one of those awarded the honour of “Highly Commended”. This recognition reflects the outstanding creativity, effort, and talent demonstrated by you and your students. This film stood out among in very competitive pool of entries, and we are thrilled to recognize your work with this special commendation.
Do make sure to keep an eye out for information on the live streaming of the 19th Annual FÍS Awards show from the Helix in early February 2025!
