As part of the music curriculum in St.Cronan’s, all of the boys in 5th have been worked very hard to learn 15 songs in preparation for the 2023 National Children’s Choir concert which took place in the Basketball Arena in Tallaght on April 23rd . In a choir of approximately 500 children from five schools in County Wicklow, they performed a repertoire of 15 songs in 7 languages including Gaeilge, English, Spanish, Italian, Latin, Slovakian and Lugandan.. They have learned a broad range of popular, traditional and classical songs, most of them in two or three harmony parts.
Nicola Pigott (Ravenswell NS) was our conductor on the night and was just fantastic.
