St Patrick's Day
Intercultural Celebration
On Thursday, March 12th, St. Cronan's hosted a second international food evening, following on from the success of the initial get-together last December.
Families from China, Poland, the Philippines, India, Spain, Scotland, Lithuania, France, Mongolia, Romania, Moldova, Canada, U.S.A., and of course, Ireland, gathered together to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge/St Patrick's Day.
The evening started with an Irish Dancing demonstration and it wasn't long before everyone present was dancing the Walls of Limerick! Having worked up an appetite, everybody enthusiastically sampled the delicious dishes from around the world that people had brought to share.
Many thanks to Mrs Lyons, Roe Morley and the Parents' Activities Committee for organising the event.
