On Sunday 1st March. the St Cronan's School Choir took part in the Arklow Feis.
This was the first time that the school competed in this competition, and they came in 2nd place finishing just one point behind the winners.
A massive thank you to the musical director Ms Healy and Mr Dodd, and of course all the boys who worked so hard ! Well done !!
Charity Football Match
Over a hundred of the boys from our school went down to the Carlisle Grounds on Tuesday 3rd March to watch Bray Wanderers take a Garda representitive team. The match was for two charities; Open Door and Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children.
Although the weather was very bad, everyone seemed to enjoy the match, which the Gardaí won 1-0. Some boys from St Cronan's took part in a Penalty Shoot-Out Competition at half-time.
Pioneer Schools Quiz
On Sunday 8th March, two teams from St Cronan's 6th class took part in the annual schools quiz run by the Pioneer Total Abstinence Association.
Both teams did extremely well, although some of the questions were a little tricky !
At the beginning of March, all the boys from 6th Class went on a
Confirmation Retreat to Glendalough.

Seachtain na Gaeilge
Idir an 9ú Márta agus an 13ú Márta, bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge á ceiliúradh againn sa scoil.
Bhí damhsa, ceol, ealaín, tráth na gceist agus gach sórt craic againn !!
Níos mó eolas anseo !
Between the 9th and 13th of March, we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish Week) in the school.
We had dance, music, art, quizzes and all sorts of fun !!

Spanish Students visit St Cronan's
On Thursday 12th March, pupils from School SEK Greystones paid a visit to Mr McGovern's 6th class. They did a wide variety of activities including clay pottery and necklaces, relay races and of course a soccer match where St Cronans came out on top 3 - 1!
Pupils from SEK also observed St Cronan's pupils performing in their ceolchoirm. They got a taste of Irish music and dance.

St Patrick's Day Parade
Some of the boys from St Cronan's marched in the parade with the Bray Lions Club. The Lions Club are an international charitable organisation, and the Bray Lions have long been associated with St Cronan's. The sponsored the school's GAA jersey. They also involve our senior pupils in projects such as the "International Peace Poster Competition" and "The Clean Sweep of Bray Spring Clean".

On Sunday 22nd March, the boys in 6th class from Holy Redeemer parish made their Confirmation. There were two ceremonies on the day; at 12 noon and then at 3pm.
Many people worked very hard to prepare the boys for the day. Many thanks to their teachers; Ms Walsh, Mr McGovern and Mr Ó Broin. Also thanks to all Bishop Éamonn Walsh, Fr Derek and Fr George, the Faith Friends, the choir under the direction of John Ivory, and of course the Confirmation co-ordinator Liz Reynolds.
National Children's Choir
On Thursday 2nd April, the boys in 5th and 6th class had their third inter-school rehearsal for the National Children's Choir Concert. They rehearsed with the boys and girls from St. Laurence's School in Greystones.
A big thank you to Ms Déiseach from Scoil Chualainn who conducted at the rehearsal, Mr Dodd for his piano accompaniment, and to all the boys in 5th and 6th class for their hard work.
Queen of Peace Confirmation
The boys in 6th class from Queen of Peace Parish made their Confirmation on Friday 24th April. The ceremony was held in St Fergal's Church due to ongoing restoration work on the Queen of Peace Church.
It was a beautiful ceremony, enhanced by the wonderful St Cronan's choir and musical director Ms Healy.
National Children's Choir Concert
On Wednesday 29th April, all the boys from 5th and 6th class perform in the National Children's Choir in the National Basketball Arena. This came after 8 months of hard work, in which time the boys learned the words of 20 differing and challenging songs. There were songs in English, Irish and Latin, and the boys were split into Firsts (melody singers), seconds (harmony singers) and descant singers.
A massive thank you to Ms Healy for all the work she put into leading the choir.
